The Visit Dorset Tourism Partnership comprises of local authority tourism officers from the district and borough councils of Christchurch, East Dorset, Purbeck, West Dorset and and Weymouth & Portland and represents over 600 private businesses.

Together, this partnership is responsible for promoting Dorset to potential visitors through a wide range of avenues including publications such as our Dorset Guide, the visit-dorset.com website, apps, social media and national media campaigns.

The Visit Dorset Tourism Partnership works closely with VisitEngland, its members and selected partners to market Dorset as a leading tourism destination.

The Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has agreed to support the local tourism economy as one of its main priorities and representatives from key Dorset tourism businesses have recently been called together to form a group known as a Destination Management Organisation (DMO), following a blueprint established by the national body for tourism, visitengland.
